Idhayaganam, as a project of RCME, started its journey way back in 2010-2011, with Rtn. Ramana as Chairman and has been continuing month after month without a break. August 22, was the Mega Idhayaganam evening and it happened at Vani mahal, T Nagar.
We welcomed about 400 inmates from various homes (Vishranthi, Ramakrishna Mission, Andhra Mahila Sabha, Little Hearts, Seva Chakra, Paradise Home, Cheshire Home, V Excel, Annai, Saradha Vidyalaya, BKN School) all of who arrived early. The youngest would have been 6 years old and the oldest was 93 years old. They were all treated to snacks from Sri Krishna Sweets and coffee from Leo, before they were seated inside the auditorium. The planning and coordination for the event was commendable, with the end result being a seamless and wonderfully organised event. The Anns were assigned to take care of groups of guests, along with student volunteers from our own Community College and Rotaractors.
