Spiritual trip to Tiruvannamalai (Lord Annamalaiyar Temple)
A day trip tailored for RCMEians
The 1st RCME’s day trip to Tiruvannamalai, Annamalaiyar Temple and Girivalam. We will be visiting Sri Ramanasramam as well.
Itinerary:
(Saturday, 3rd September 2022)
6:45 am – Assemble at Seethakathi Business Centre / IBIS Hotel building (old Anand Theatre Complex) at ‘Thousand Lights’, 684-690, Anna Salai, Chennai 600006.
(Car Parking available).

7:00 am – Depart for Tiruvannamalai by Volvo Bus. (En-route pickup packed Breakfast to be had in the Bus.)
11:00 am – Reach Tiruvannamalai Bypass, to pickup the guide.
11:30 am – ‘Girivalam’ by Bus, visiting few temples.
12:30 pm – reach the main entrance of ‘Annamalaiyar Temple’ for Special darisanam.
1:45 pm – Lunch at Aakash inn Restaurant near Sri Ramanasramam.
2.30 pm – Vist Sri Ramanasramam (Sri Ramana Ashram) and Yogi Ramsuratkumar Ashram (if time permits)
3:30 pm – Proceed to visit ‘Adi Annamalai Temple’.
4:30 pm – depart for Chennai (en-route we will stop for snacks)
9:00 pm – Return to Chennai.
Points to Note:
- Freshly cooked and packed Breakfast has been arranged from Sri Karpaga Vinayagar Caterers and will be delivered to the Bus at 6.30 am. We can have the Breakfast around 8.00am in the bus.
- We are not stopping for Breakfast at any restaurant to save time as we need to reach the Temple on time.
- There will be short stops for Toilet and Coffee/Tea as required.
- Bottled Mineral Water has been arranged.
- Please carry an umbrella as contingency.
- The Bus will start at 7.00 am SHARP and proceed on Anna Salai towards Guindy – Tambaram – Tiruvannamalai. Any one who wants to board the bus on this route are welcome, but please inform Rtn.Bala, co-ordinator and make sure to be at the location on time.
- Mid-day Snacks and Biscuits have been arranged as lunch is only around 2.00pm.
- On return Trip, we will stop for Coffee/Tea.
- For any reason like a traffic jam, if it gets delayed on return journey, we can decide to stop for dinner in consensus.
